Autumn 'naders

Yo yo yo,
What a huge, yet ugly, day of severe weather on Wednesday across the southern Plains into Mizzou.   And then the potential in Illinois and Indiana Thursday.  Severe weather outbreaks in the autumn are actually not that rare.  The public perception is "spring and summer".  Well anyone who has spent a winter in the south knows that is far from the truth, as the worst part of severe weather season from the bayou to Georgia is November through March.  That's a huge soapbox of mine after living in Paducah, and I even went to Cleveland in '06 to rant and rave about it.  But I'll save my heated discussion for another day, if you haven't already heard it. But even up in the Midwest, autumn can be nasty.  Events are more rare, but when they happen they can be particularly nasty.
Up here in Minneapolis it has rained almost every day in October, and the sun has shone only once...really!  Ridiculous!  After a severe drought in June/July, the August-October has gone down as the wettest August-October on record in Minneapolis.  Instead of nice autumn days, it has been nothing but cloudy and wet.  The lack of Vitamin D is killing me and my convertible tan is fading.  Eh it's all good, that means the scruff, not Mammen, will be coming out during the long Minnesota winter.
So yeah, pumped about Holzner coming to visit in a couple weeks.  We'll be headed off to the Illini/Gophers game, which may just have as many Illini fans as MinneSOta fans.  He has said one of us will not survive that weekend, and the other will end up married.  I'm not sure how that will happen, but still gonna be a blast.  Then it is Holiday season time.  Anyone doing something big?   I won't be home on the Holidays, but soon after Turkey and Christmas time each I'll be home.  Hey Scruff and Spark, Dec 29th will mark the 8 year anniversary of Stuart Little!  Wow, fleeing criminals for 8 years and going strong!  Well, Spark may have been caught once...or twice.

You know how we do it bloggers from the 'sota to the 'dota, give an "mmm", follow it with a "boo", wrap it up with a "yah".  mmmbooyah.
