I'm here
Hey y'all,
Sorry about the length between updates...once again. I know there is at least a few upset people. My cuz Kris ... then there's Luke .... and now Miles it seems. Ugh, all guys. Any ladies reading my blog? Hello? Well anywho, thanks gents, and I will get better with updates.
So been a bit busy, not weatherwise at all, just otherwise it seems. Holzner was up last weekend, in what truly was an unbelievable weekend. The highlight, the Illini rolling, was awesome. Holzner and I, being the band nuts we are, enjoyed the U of MN's performance. Their cymbal line is the best I've ever seen too. Before and after the game we partied hardy. Thank goodness for that extra hour, right Holzner? Ha!
The big news in weather in the world ... besides climate change ... is the drought in the southeast. I have a friend whom works for the office in Atlanta, and he says its bad, which from him means it really is. Supposedly I heard (from a different friend...yes I do have two!) that at the U. of Georgia football game last Saturday, they asked those as the game to not flush the toilets. Yikes. Weather systems this year have died when approaching the southeast, or just moved to the north. Usually, a tropical system or two can be depended on in the summer or early fall. Not this year. And a La Nina winter, which is what we are on tap for, would mean continued dry down there. An El Nino winter would be perfect, but not going to happen. The problem looks to get worse at this point.
Uhhh, not much on tap for me this weekend, especially compared to last. Lots of projects in the work world I'm truckin' (non-Miles) on. NIU still seeking their first win at home this year, where they have already dropped 3 games...4 if you include Solider Field. In my four years of school, NIU dropped a TOTAL of 5 games at home! Well, all I know is I'm ready for the Holiday season, moreso than ever. It just is time...I don't know why...it just is. That may be worth another blog.
Welp, 1:30 am, so time for bed. You know how we do it down I-94 and I-39, from the 'sota to the 'dota ... mmmbooyah!
