Turkey Time
Well if someone is reading this on Thanksgiving, I hope it is a sweet one! I have been looking forward to it here too, even with it not being overly ideal with work and a long drive to IL. But I'm thankful I even get to make the drive, so no complaining. Plus I get to see chumps like Wuj, Mammen, Sparky, and Holzner during my time home. And maybe, if "lucky", Luke too.
What a great evolution of a weather system earlier this week. Not nearly as potent as the one three years ago on Thanksgiving eve, but still offering some snow to northern IL. Iowa saw snow throughout Wednesday and I think will come down with higher accumulations than most places in IL. And a simple rule to remember for the public out there keeping an eye on the weather across the country: When there is heavy snow somewhere in November, than another area is get pounded with tornadoes. Sure enough, the old office down in Paducah fired out a few tornado warnings on Wednesday afternoon as temperatures pushed to near 70. The power of nature baby!
I love the voicemails I received from people Wednesday night cursing my name and existance! For one, you were informed of such a system. If not from me, certainly from the media. Number two, I am a scientist who observes and forecasts the weather. I do not control the weather! But I love those voicemails none the less. It makes me feel almighty. In "Todd" we trust, eh?!
Welp, that's a wrap here. I'm out. Talk to you next week. Have a nice Holiday weekend!
And y'all know how we do it during the Holiday season, from the snow-free 'sota to the snow-covered 'dota .... mmmBOOYAH!
