Hello Friends,
   Can you say 2008 is half over?  Mind-blowing!  What a weather year for the United States thus far.  Major snow storms in Iowa, Wisconsin, and northern Illinois ... tornadoes basically everywhere ... and now the heavy rain over the same area that had the snow in the winter.  What does the latter half of the year hold?  Well, inevitably and unfortunately, probably a hurricane or two at least coming into the Gulf if not a lot more trouble.  The Atlantic is off to a fairly quiet start but the season is in its infancy and ocean temps are plenty warm.  So we shall see.  Weather up in Minnesota this week is going to be beautiful and just as nice in IL.  Could be some strong thunderstorms on Wednesday though in IL ... just a heads up.  You know the rules ... eye to the sky.
   Well, I could type a lot more, but best call it a night.  Oh yeah, a big happy birthday to Jared Slim Schrady.  The man who speaks in third person, can ball it up with the best of 'em, taught all us Mendota guys how to be smooth with the ladies, and is larger than life turned the big 2 6 late last week.  And Big Slim will be up in Minnesota in a few weeks ... again .. this time for a Schrady family reunion.  Slim and I headed to a Twinkies game then ... should be a booyah time.  One of many things to look forward to in what is a young, but crazy, summer.  Guider's Wedding.  Sis to NIU (Bobby and Guider helping move in?)  Oh yeah, and a little thing called the SCF!
