September Winding Down
Breeze Riders,
Hope all is swell out there. Anyone use to watch Nick at Nite like me, and remember when they used the word "swell" all the time? Random thought. But yes, a quick post here from me. Just off an evening shift in which we had a few boomers. Cooling down this week with the potential for some patchy frost as far south as central Illinois. Yes, that would also include Lowell, Michigan and you Judy and Kodiak. The heart of that cool down looks to be Weds through Fri before warming temperatures later next weekend into the following week. Mainly dry conditions to prevail across much of the Midwest this week. No complaints in Mendota about that! And Chad and Jamie, I will get you your initial wedding forecast soon! Hoping for an Indian Summer type day. That weekend will be incredible!
Well the big news weatherwise in September, from TX to IL to OH was certainly Hurricane Ike. Here is an amazing link that show Ike's destruction and what existed beforehand:

Sunday night Hurricane Kyle made landfall east of Maine into New Brunswick, Canada. Maine still had wind gusts up to low end tropical storm strength. Maine does get occasional tropical storms and hurricanes, but they are usually moving at a very high rate of speed so they don't last nearly as long as they typically do on the Gulf or lower Atlantic shores.
Well, a few days more of work and then heading to see the sis for the first time at NIU. Should be quite fun. Then Bobby, Danno, and my annual renegade Huskie trip. Oh wait, I've already made a few renegade trips this year! Well, let's head southeast again, shall we?! NIU vs Tennessee in what should be quite a rowdy weekend I expect. Huskies rolled this past weekend and will take the south Saturday like they did when they beat Bama five years ago, as Sid Simmons reminded us this past weekend. Too bad about our Fighting Illini Saturday Night, though they hung with a darn tough Nittany Lion team. JoePa wants Roses.
Oh yes, a shoutout to Quinn, the latest V.I.P. Despite your angry e-mail Quinn and your 90 second voicemail which I could understand because you were screaming, I will still add you. Maybe I'll have to make a special section on the homepage about the latest V.I.P. added. Giving them recognition, you know? Thoughts on that?
That's a wrap. Let's roll into October how we've done it the past nine months in '08, from the 'Sota to the 'Dota to the Flo'da ... mmmbooyah!

Wow, I had no idea that Ike did that kind of damage. That's too bad. It's also the reason why I have decided to not live on the coast! My sister lives in Florida and gets hit by a hurricane far too often.
