Wedding Weekend / Weather Change

Goooooood morning,
Hoping all is well out there with all of you.  Saw a bunch of you last weekend during Chad and Jamie's wedding.  What a booyah time that was, certainly worth the 13+ months of anticipation!  If you would like to see all the pics, let me know.  Some highlights:

- I own hole #1 at Mendota Golf Course. The other 17 own me.
- Quote from a couple old guys at the course: "Cold weather, cold beer". Nice.
- Amboy (population 2,700), a northwest suburb of Mendota (population 7,300), is actually a pretty sweet place. I even briefly said that maybe Mendota is a southeast suburb of Amboy. Don't worry, I've since washed my mouth out with soap. Still, Amboy rocks.
- Mark and I waxed the car ... while listening to Pat Benetar. (hey that rhymes)
- According to his new wife, Chad has a unibrow. Maybe that's why we call him "Scruff"?
- The 'Stang is the vehicle of choice among newly weds in north central Illinois, especially when Belinda Carlisle is on repeat!
- You have to face it Slim, your girl Keisha knows how to do ghost knucks.
- Several voicemails from NIU Homecomingers during the wedding festivities.  One of those a 13 second message from Guider with a little "hostility". As for Bobby, just a couple typical 2 plus minute plus voicemails encompassing everything. Where does he get that technique from?!
- Bagpipes, harpist, big band music from a live band, and even a tub of Bacardi Razz ... all unique aspects of this wedding.
- Mark and I may have shed a tear.  I am afraid photo proof does exist. Maybe it was all the weddings that we've had this year, or maybe it was Chad's mid-ceremony snot rocket, I'm not sure ... but, we uncovered emotions we never knew we had.
- Chad and Jamie instead of kissing each other first when told to, gave each other a high-five during the ceremony!  Then they kissed!  That was sweet!  Even the father loved it!  In the words of Chad "It was a risky move, but worth it".

Have fully recovered from last weekend now up here in 'Sota. Big weather story this coming weekend will be a major cold front expected to move from the 'Sota Saturday night, through the 'Dota Sunday, and yes even through Flo'da on Monday night. Wind gusts of 50 mph plus are possible here along with likely snow showers on Sunday. Not impossible for a few flurries in Illinois, especially around Chicago. Lower Michigan likely to see some light snow too. And the Sunshine State to see highs only in the mid 70's by midweek....awwww...

Monday Night:

So wish Chad and Jamie some love and get ready for a shot of cool air.

From the 'Sota to the 'Dota to the Flo'da ...

Hostility was deserved for no pre game ghost knucks. I got straight to the point with my voicemail since for some reason MTF callers only get limited vm room compared to the saga's they receive

You know quite a few people say exactly this about my voicemail. Weird thing is, Mengler can still leave two minute plus bombs. I believe my record for a voicemail is over four minutes on yours. Think there may have been a Tribute to Troy fight song?

Holzner I suspect you, especially due to the smart alec nature. Sweetcornforecast.com is a national page, we have been over this before. And return a phone call every once in a while, huh?!?!
