Hey All,
Just a quick entry as it has been a little while. Colder than normal air continues to grip the Midwest and will through the next week. Some snow showers will be around, especially Saturday, but nothing too likely to stick on the roads. I don't think we've seen the sun for about ten days here in Minnesota, which is not a huge surprise as it is our average cloudiest month of the year. Will try to catch some rays the next several days. Should be a quite the fun, adventurous weekend, as if we haven't had enough of those this year. Last one off until the Foxy wedding / Sis birthday extravaganza to round out the great '08.
Nothing really big from this past week as Mother Nature has made me her ...... worker. Some highlights though. Great hockey game last Sat night between MinneSOta and New Hampshire. An unexpected six on six brawl was an attention-getter too. The cheerleaders on ice were an intangible for the experience. Back in the weather news, in one week from last to now we had record high temperatures, severe thunderstorm warnings, hail, high damaging winds, funnel clouds, several inches of snow, freezing rain, sleet, and dense fog. That's exciting in itself, as I can't say I've seen that before. Was able to catch much of the second half of the NIU game on ESPN2 Weds night. Down 30-6, they came back to force OT. Nice. Sis was at the game and she left early! That taught her not to ever leave the frozen tundra of college football early. Also received six e-mails from T. Heitz, all between 3:30 and 3:40 am Thursday morning. Not making fun of ya Todd as I'm up at that hour a third of the time, but six e-mails??? And signed the "best dressed in a rain coat". Hilarious!
Shuttle Endeavor launches tonight ... 6:55 pm CST. Be there or be square.
And does anyone listen to Christmas music before Thanksgiving? This year I decided I would, and I think radio DJs across the Twin Cities' heard me, as there has been several channels with Holiday tunes on. I'm all about it though as the season goes much too fast, especially with turkey day being late.
I'm out for a few days. From the 'SOTA to the 'DOTA ... mmmbooyah,
MTF
