Holiday Season Moving Fast...
Howdy All,
Everyone best have had a good weekend and done a little more Christmas shopping that me (nada). And hope you got to see a little more football than me (nada, well the Vikings/Lions, so nada). I heard there were some excellent games. Just worked a lot of hours here, and of course saw some more snow. I will see a lot more later today, as finally we look to get into the snowstorm action. The 'Stang is set for battle with this potential 6+ inch snow this evening. This same system will bring a variety of weather to Illinois tonight into Tuesday. From the Windy City to the 'Dota to the Peoria, there likely will be some rain tonight into the day Tuesday. Some of that could definitely freeze on the colder ground, so head's up. In between the 'Sota and 'Dota is likely to be heaviest hit, with double digit snowfall amounts potentially shaping up from La Crosse WI over to the Dells. Don't think you miss the snow action though in IL, as snow will be likely on the backside of this system Tuesday night into Wednesday. Accumulations likely, so heads up into the middle of the week.
Other notes ... yesterday was the bowl selection day. And as a welcome surprise, the Northern Illinois Huskies will be bowling this Holiday season. It will be in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, LA against the home favorite Louisiana Tech on Sun, Dec 28th. You all best be tuned into ESPN watching. The PRIDE of the Midwest will also square off against the Marching Bulldogs that night. Marching Bands LIVE for bowl games...
Just an astonishing fact here ... my sis managed to send and receive a total of 2,926 text messages during the last billing cycle. How is such a massive amount possible? Mengler only you may know given how many I receive from you?! Imagine the time spent to type and read all that! Ugh.. Thank goodness for unlimited texting I suppose...
Oh yeah, and good luck Heather, Emily, Caroline, and Caroline on your first college finals. Try not to text too much this week, eh?!
And Mengler will never forget our first week of finals when we forgot to wake him up and he missed most of his calculus final! Classic!! Eight years ago this week?! Holy moly...
That's all I got at 3 am ... so you know how we do it, whether you text it, type it, post it, say it, yell it, dream it, or live it ... from the 'Sota to the 'Dota ... mmmbooyah and mmmHAPPY HOLIDAYS!

8 years ago...yikes...best part was watching Nicky Naughton laugh as I fled the room with...Adidas sandals, SHS shorts, long sleeve NIU shirt, and a hoody with my Atlanta Braves hat...then I SLIPPED on the ice outside the Chick Evans...boy was that a great day...took that final and had my A- drop to a B+, haha! By the way HTF...I am at 1400+ texts in 14 days of my plan...so top that!

1400+ texts in two weeks is NOT something to be proud of. Ah yes, the Braves hat was going strong back then too. What a hilarious story! And I still did not realize that I forgot to wake you up until I get back to the dorm...haha.
