Breeeeeze Followers,
A bit behind on the Breeze as of late and I apologize. I've received a couple e-mails (nastygrams) regarding that. This will be short, but next week I have several topics I want to post about which should foster some good discussion. They include the ice storm of this week across much of the south, including Paducah where people may be without power for as long as two more weeks. Also, there could be one heck of a winter storm again Monday into Tuesday from Kentucky and Tennesee up the Ohio Valley and towards the East Coast. Keep your eye on this in particular Jimmy, Vujea, Kris, and others in that neck of the woods.
Also will probably talk about the new administration and what it means to weather and climate forecasting and research in the government and also how it impacts you. Heard a good radio bit on just that recently.
And finally and probably the big thing for several of you, I will be posting the top 10 ... maybe 20 ... V.I.P. forecast users to date. I took a glance quickly a week ago and there are going to be a few surprises. Will Wuj fall from #1? Are Slim and Uncle Paul still battling for #2, or is there someone new up top? Who is the most meteorologally saavy wedding couple, the Guiders, the Mammens, or Luke and Sparky? And who will face the embarrasment of not even making the top yet always complaining about the weather? That and more next week.
February 2nd: Groundhog's Day
February 5th: National Weatherperson's Day (no I'm not joking ... see link)
Oh, and now not only are days getting longer but the climatological average temperature is also heading back up. Spring is just around the corner...but keep in mind we are a good two or three blocks from that corner. Sorry...
You know how we do it in, from the 'Sota to the 'Dota...mmmbooyah,

Im gonna make a prediction, that I have significantly fallen in the top 10. We've had internet trouble at the residence for a stretch of about a month, and I havent had my own computer for like 3 mos now, and of course I was jobless..Im thinking I'll come in around 7 or 8

Ice storms are nasty, and typically cut electrical power by bringing down lines. I live in Indiana, and we don't often get bad ice storms. Anyways, I recently watched some videos on Youtube of fender benders (small accidents) on ice. If you are bored some night you should take the time to search Youtube for them - they are very entertaining. That may sound morbid, but let me repeat that they are not serious accidents. The best one was called "Car Pinball" or something like that; I think it has been posted several times under different names such as, "Real Car Crash 2 [Original Sound]" and "Stupid drivers on ice"
