One Month
Breezers,
Hope all had a fabulous Independence Day weekend! That Saturday rain did not stop most firework shows in IL, but amazingly Mendota postponed until Sunday. That's alright, it made the whole weekend a bash in the WGLC for those of you home. I had a great show outside work on Saturday. We could see 5 communities launching fireworks all at once. Probably the most I've seen at one time. The darn inversion in place (or warming temperatures with height) that night, allowed the smoke to simply spread over the ground and not mix out. It basically evolved into dense fog. That was sort of unique too, and I don't think the airport cared much for it.
Well on bigger notes.....today is July 6th. My calendar...my countdown clock...my internal clock....they all say: ONE MONTH.

Are you ready?! Will you be there when "history is made" in the cornfields?! A Festival that looks like one simply nestled between bigger and better ones in '08, '10, and '11 is far, far, FAR from that. Each year they keep getting better as we proved from year to year. This year is going to be nothing shy of unbelievable. If you can sleep at night, teach me how, because my heart is racing. TICK TICK TICK....
